About this beach and marina community
La Mer is a waterfront area in Jumeirah 1, Dubai, developed by Meraas. The developer describes it as a waterfront destination with a mix of beach, marina, leisure and dining options. Gulf News reported in October 2017 that La Mer had opened to the public, and placed it between Pearl Jumeira and Jumeira Bay. Port de La Mer is the residential community that Meraas places at the tip of the north peninsula of La Mer. Meraas describes Port de La Mer as a freehold master community with Mediterranean-inspired residences, and says its phases range from one-bedroom apartments to penthouses. The developer lists a marina of over 190 berths at the heart of the community. Facilities it names include swimming pools, gyms, outdoor parks with children's play areas and private beach access. Sur La Mer, also by Meraas, is a set of three- to five-bedroom townhouses that the developer describes as a neighbour of Port de La Mer.
