About this waterfront apartment and penthouse community
Jumeirah Beach Residence is commonly known as JBR. The National reported in March 2014 that it was built by the developer Dubai Properties Group in one phase between 2002 and 2007. Gulf News named the same developer in November 2012. The developer's own page, published under the name Dubai Properties by Dubai Holding Real Estate, describes the towers as Mediterranean and Arabic-inspired. Gulf News reported in June 2010 that the development includes hotel towers alongside its residential towers, that it was designed for families with retail space and entertainment facilities, and that its apartments range from studios to one, two, three and four bedrooms. The same report described the community as situated in front of Dubai Marina. The community manager, Dubai Holding Community Management, describes JBR as a waterfront community along Dubai's coastline that is home to apartments and penthouses. It lists kids' play areas, gymnasiums and swimming pools among the recreational amenities in the community. The Dubai Tram has two stops named for JBR, and RTA bus route 84 runs between Al Khail Gate and a stop the RTA lists as Jumeirah Beach Residence Stn.
