About this heritage-inspired village-style community
Uptown Mirdif is a gated community developed by Union Properties. The developer describes it as a heritage-inspired community that combines residential and commercial properties in a village-style setting, with townhouses, apartments and a retail centre. Its fact sheet lists the residential unit types as studios, one and two bedroom apartments and three bedroom villas. The facilities it lists include a pool, parks, a shopping centre, a gym, restaurants, cafes, a party hall, 24 hour security and underground parking. In February 2009, Gulf News described Uptown Mirdif as a 23-hectare gated community developed by Union Properties. The same report said prospective residents could choose from villas, townhouses and apartments. It described three bedroom townhouses and row houses, each with front and back yards, and apartment blocks next to the shopping area, with two bedroom Garden and Terrace apartments and Gate and Courtyard apartments offering studio, one and two bedroom options. In February 2017, Gulf News again named Union Properties as the firm behind Uptown Mirdif.
