About this master-planned residential community
Madinat Badr is a residential community in Muhaisnah developed by Dubai Islamic Bank, which describes it as a master-planned residential and lifestyle community built on land the bank owns. The developer dates the area's identity to 1975, when Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum gave the land to Dubai Islamic Bank. The developer states that Qamar, launched in 2019, forms the first stage of the community, with 11 buildings of one, two and three bedroom apartments, each with a balcony overlooking landscaped green space. The design draws on Andalusian, Spanish and Italian architecture. The developer lists shared facilities including landscaped parks, jogging and cycling tracks, fitness centres, sports courts, a swimming pool, a kids' area, a community centre, a nursery, a healthcare clinic, and retail and dining outlets, with parking for residents and visitors. In December 2021, Dubai Islamic Bank announced the opening of a mosque in the community, built in a Moorish style.
