About this mixed-use urban community
Majan is a mixed-use area. In November 2006, Khaleej Times reported that Mizin, the real estate development company of Tatweer, had unveiled Majan as a mixed use development project, and that Tatweer was a member of Dubai Holding. In May 2010, Gulf News reported that Mizin's Arjan, Liwan and Majan projects, launched in 2006, had slowed down, with only a couple of projects in each development moving ahead. Dubai Holding Community Management, which manages the community, describes Majan as a mixed-use area designed with interconnected open spaces including axial parks, located along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. The community manager lists facilities including kids' play areas, outdoor gyms, sports courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, parks and mosques. Its Majan page names a community team for community operations and customer engagement, and points residents to its Community Engagement Centre in The Villa. In May 2026, The National profiled a resident who had moved into a two-bedroom apartment in Majan.
