About this garden-themed residential community
Discovery Gardens is a residential community that Nakheel's own project page describes as inspired by garden living, spanning 26 million square feet. Nakheel names its courtyard-garden clusters Zen, Mediterranean, Contemporary, Mogul, Mesoamerican and Cactus. Dubai Holding Community Management lists Discovery Gardens among the communities it manages. Press coverage from October 2018 places Discovery Gardens between Interchanges 5 and 6 on Sheikh Zayed Road and describes it as rectangular, with one end facing Sheikh Zayed Road and the other along Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. The same report says more than 30 percent of the development is reserved for landscaping and that the community was then home to more than 48,000 people. Nakheel's page lists community swimming pools, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, gyms, a football pitch, cycling and jogging trails, mosques and parking. The community manager's page adds cricket nets, kids' play areas, petrol stations and recycling stations. The RTA has built six surface traffic light signals on Al Asayel Road to provide entry and exit points for Discovery Gardens. The nearest Dubai Metro station is Discovery Gardens on the Red Line, which the RTA lists as station R71 and which the RTA built as part of its Route 2020 extension.
